In this chart which details which tradeshows Alzheimer's researchers attend, you can see that the Society for Neuroscience (SfN) has had 8.8k researchers present. Whereas interestingly, the Alzheimer's Association Internation Conference (AAIC) has less than half of the researchers with 4.1k.
The Data Visualisation feature provides a high-level overview of the statistics, whereas users can also click the ‘Researcher Tab’ in the SciLeads platform to explore the poster talk sessions in more detail.
As you can see, the US has by far the highest number of researchers for Alzheimer's with 54.1k, followed by China with 19.8k and the UK with 17.3k.
A deep dive into the data shows that the state of California has the most researchers with 25.5k. Followed by New York with 17.8k researchers.
Our curated data shows that the total number of funding awards granted since 2012 for Alzheimer's is 78.5K. The Data Visualisation of this information shows that the funding amount had been steadily rising, and then rose dramatically in 2021 to $10.5bn. It is interesting that the funding still rose in 2020 and 2021 when other application areas saw a decline due to COVID-19 research.
Note - the results show in USD the total of all grants that appear in the search (other currencies are standardized to USD).
