Trusted Data, Transparent Practices.
At SciLeads we invest heavily in data governance and compliance so our customers can have complete confidence in the provenance and lawful use of our data. Our global privacy program is developed and maintained with leading external counsel in the US and Europe. It is designed to ensure that our sourcing, processing, and supply of data align with the applicable data protection frameworks.
Customer Assurance
SciLeads maintains internal data verification and source attribution processes. Every data point we supply can be traced to a verifiable, legitimate source, allowing our customers to use our insights responsibly and confidently. Our data enables a wide range of legitimate B2B applications, such as insights, enrichment, and targeted marketing, within a professional context. The data we supply is exclusively collected in a business context and we do not provide consumer data.
Our Position Under US State Privacy & Data Broker Laws
SciLeads has carefully reviewed its obligations under state privacy and data brokerage laws, including California’s CCPE and DELETE Act. Our conclusions, which have been confirmed by external privacy counsel, shows that the information we process is publicly available data, such as professional details from corporate websites, public registries, and other openly published sources. Under the CCPA (Cal. Civ. Code §1798.140(v)(2)(A)–(B)) and other equivalent state legislation, such information is explicitly excluded from the definition of “personal information” or excluded from the application of such laws entirely.
Because California’s data broker registration law applies only to entities processing personal information governed by the CCPA, we are not required to register as a data broker. We have conducted similar reviews in other states with identical results.
Ongoing Focus
Data governance and privacy compliance remain at the heart of what we do as we continue to expand our products and services. We welcome engagement from customers or compliance teams who wish to learn more. Contact us here if you have any questions.
