In our inaugural attempt at certification, SciLeads achieved an outstanding score of 85%, which was well above the 65% threshold required to be recognised as a 'Great Place to Work'. Across all measures, SciLeads maintained an impressive average of 88%, showcasing our commitment to fostering a positive work environment. Not every company makes the list the first time, so it was a fantastic achievement to be certified and rank so highly across the board.

The Great Place to Work Certification was a rigorous two-step process that involved surveying our employees through a comprehensive questionnaire regarding SciLeads’ working environment. This methodology ensures the certification is based on real employee experiences and independent analysis. The scores obtained through this process help job seekers identify companies that genuinely offer a great company culture.

Flexible working is one of our core values and this score reflects SciLeads' commitment to supporting employees in achieving a healthy work-life balance. We don’t want our staff to have to compromise on what makes them happy, and if they want to go to the gym or walk the dog during the day then they are encouraged to do so. Some staff prefer to work early in the morning, or later at night when the kids are asleep, and we empower them to manage their work around their needs and other commitments. Giving Back

In addition to a great work-life balance, each year we ask our staff to vote for charity partners and we hold events to raise money for them. In fact we have just chosen our Charities of the Year which are both animal charities - Paws & People NI and the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society. Many of the SciLeaders have pets (we have a dedicated Slack channel for sharing pictures) we are actively planning some fundraising adventures for the year such as sponsored dog walks, marathons and other meetups and activities.
